This was my first time hiking Oneonta Gorge in Oregon and it was quite the adventure. This short hike begins with a massive log jam that takes some balance to climb over. After that, the hike takes you up the narrow gorge and requires you to wade through the water, which at one point is over 5 feet high. Keeping my camera gear dry is always a must so I had to carry my gear over my head to avoid getting it wet. The water in the gorge was quite cold so by the end of the hike my feet were painfully cold. At the end of the gorge is a beautiful waterfall well worth the effort to reach it. This hike was one of my favorites and definitely one I’ll do again at some point.
