I pulled into one of the campgrounds near Timothy Lake intending to have lunch and continue on. It was so gorgeous, I decided to stop for the day and read a book in my hammock. Then I pulled out my Kindle and discovered it was dead — the screen was hash. So I relaxed in my hammock without a book. Oh well. In five days of bikepacking, the Kindle was the only thing that broke. I took the opportunity to write instead. It worked out fine.
