Haven’t ridden this one in a while. I’m tightening her up in preparation of a five day Cascades trip next month.
I forgot how pleasant she is. She may not glide up the climbs like my Univega, and her steering has an undeniable slothiness to it, but she is comfortable in more ways than one. The fat 40mm tires are very nice despite their extreme weight and very stiff sidewalls. I love the quiet Shimano ratchet, compared to the angry crickets of the Fulcrums on the Univega. It’s much more suited to slow rides while camping in the mountains.
Can’t wait to take her out for her first big trip.
